The Associates Campaign for Equal Justice Raises More Than $400,000

Second-year associate Julia Doherty and first-year associate William Kenick led this year’s Associates Campaign, the Legal Foundation of Washington’s Campaign for Equal Justice to support 50 legal aid programs across Washington that help low-income families with immediate legal needs advocate for long-term systemic reforms to advance equal justice. From October 21 through November 1, Foster Garvey raised more than $14,400, exceeding the firm's internal goal by $1,900.

The Associates Campaign is an annual campaign that raises funds for civil legal aid programs to advance justice for families experiencing poverty. This includes legal support with eviction defense, access to unemployment benefits, escaping domestic violence and more. Over a dozen law firms participated in the campaign, raising a total of $424,966.50, an incredible performance given the campaign’s goal of $250,000.

“It is inspiring to see how our collective efforts can create positive change in our community, and we are so proud to work alongside such a compassionate and engaged team of colleagues,” said William.

Foster Garvey’s attorney and staff’s support aided in positive change in the community, moving the needle toward a more equitable and just society for all. On behalf of Foster Garvey, William and Julia were immensely grateful for their colleagues’ commitment to this important cause.
